There is a price to pay for continued uplift.
That is, the effort to maintain strident focus on the positive.
As uplift continues, the negative is still known to you. But you must no longer indulge it for cheap thrills. You must choose the higher enjoyment. Casual cynicism is a sport that society sees as harmless. But it is harmful, like picking a scab.
When there are options (and there are always options) the positive path must be selected. Even self-effacing humour and ritualised self-doubt must be eschewed as are a simple relic of the past. They indicate a ceiling on a person’s operating beliefs. Habits that must fall away in this life, or another life.
Your inner being is sincere, not sceptical. Eagerly anticipatory, not fearful. After you adopt a positive seeking attitude, the negative is still known to you, in fact you see more negativity than most – but you also see more of the positive.
A finer form of ethics applies to people further along the path. For people in whom genius is unlocked, who can learn anything or charm anyone, the power to help or harm is greater.
Derision is fairly inconsequential when coming from children. But for an adult who can open and close channels in themselves or others, who can influence by their energy, negativity even performed in ignorance is not innocent.
There is tender beauty in the invisible air around us, and it is the destiny of every individual to become aware of it. There are non-physical branches and non-verbal currents reaching far and wide. There are crowds of subtle forms surrounding us, whispering in ears, hoping to be heard.
Each moment we choose to be an agent for uplift or its opposite. Each moment we are emancipated or imprisoned by our words. Deliberation on the positive leads to lives of lightness and expansion. The other leads to stiffness, decay, and compulsion.
As human life proceeds, things are supposed to become easier. Managing material affairs ought to become more playful. Your beliefs may gatekeep that reality. Recognise the wonderful privilege you have created. There is more around the corner and it can be realised swiftly in joy.
Someone unable to release demons and competitions simply cannot be trusted beyond a certain point. If they are unable to shake off the apparitions of the past and see the new world surrounding them, they must remain with tedious sensations of old.
The options are simple: shrink or grow. And all circumstantial impetus to expand should be embraced eagerly.
It is ironic that middle age and financial security can hinder evolution. Youth have no choice but to blunder ahead and learn. But adults in the height of their power have the greatest freedom to slow their own development.
